The "plum" types of positions you're thinking off may be hard to come by. Most medical offices staff primarily with medical assistants. And the occasional low-stress, no-weekend, no-holiday, nursing job that pops up will attract a LOT of applicants ...even at a severely reduced rate of pay.

Hello all!
I was just curious if anyone would be able/willing to share the pay difference between a hospital nurse and a plastic surgery nurse if possible. I am currently in nursing school, working as a tech and I have come to the realization that I DO NOT like the hospital atmosphere. Between lazy coworkers, having to work weekends and holidays, and the stress level, I am going to be looking into working at some kind of office as an RN. I wouldn't mind being in the plastic surgery OR though. Does anybody know the role of an RN in the OR, or possibly like a dermatology office or laser hair removal facility? Grateful for any advice, Thanks! :)
