Plastic surgeon office Vs. Hospital
Hello all! I was just curious if anyone would be able/willing to share the pay difference between a hospital nurse and a plastic surgery nurse if possible. I am currently in nursing school, working as a tech and I have come to the realization that I DO NOT like the hospital atmosphere. Between lazy coworkers, having to work weekends and holidays, and the stress level, I am going to be looking into working at some kind of office as an RN. I wouldn't mind being in the plastic surgery OR though. Does anybody know the role of an RN in the OR, or possibly like a dermatology office or laser hair removal facility? Grateful for any advice, Thanks! :)

Ive thought about WHNP too but i am so in love with mother/baby and i didnt know how involved an NP would be with that. I wouldn't want to handout birth control all day, know what i mean?

Nurse Midwife Questio
Hello! I am in nursing school right now, but my main goal would be to be a cerified nursr midwife. The only thing is (and its a big one) is that i would not like the inconsistency of the working hours, as babies are born 24/7. Is it possible that there are any positions that would have me just be in the office and do the 9-5 thing, or just a 12 hours shift at a hospital somewhere. Im just curious, thanks in advance for any help!

LPN Career Path
Hey everyone! So i am planning on getting my masters to become an NP but of course before that happens, i'll have to get my LPN first! I see that the majority of LPN jobs available are only nursing homes, which i'm not at all interested in. Does anybody know if an LPN can get hired in labor and delivery unit if they plan on getting their BSN? Or maybe an OB/GYN office? Thanks in advance for any feedback! :)

CNM
Are Nurse Midwives always on call? I know that the majority of them are but i was just wondering because being a mom i would like stability in knowing my exact hours and im not sure being on call would be the most desirable career for a mom.

I am very determined to become a WHNP but was wondering about the working hours because I would love to do the 3X12's. Also, where do most of them work? The hospital or the office? Thanks in advance for any feedback.
