Just wondering what is the biggest mistake any of you had made and how do you get over it?

I almost gave haldol 5mg instead of 0.5mg once...it was such a blessing. It made me much more careful. The order didn't have a leading 0 but 5mg would have been an excessive dose for the patient. It was within seconds of being a very bad day.

Biggest blunder for me was while my pt with an acute MI was vomiting I accidently flushed his upper dentures down the hopper!! Couldnt figure why he kept pointing to the basin I was running back and forth with while his other hand was covering his mouth during the episode LOL. That was an embarrasing incident report not to mention me with my arm to my elbow in the hopper trying to see if I could retrieve them!! Otherwise I have been fortunate not to have had any other Major mistakes.
