Online STABLE classes

Hello, I am currently in the process of moving to NC and would like to begin a NICU job there. So in order to make myself more sell-able to employers I am trying to get a few certifications before we move. One I would really like to get is STABLE, but I can't seem to find and accredited online class. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so where to find one?

I don't think it is offered online, you have to do the class in house.

STABLE requires the demonstration of hands-on skills. In person.

Even if you can find an online course, honestly, if it were my newborn I'd want the nurse caring for my child to have completed the real deal hands on course.

No it doesn't. You might be confusing it with NRP, that does have a "mega code" component that students are required to perform.

STABLE is predominantly lecture, and a good (engaging) instructor will also have anecdotal stories and sometimes photos.

Because STABLE instructors are not required to register their class offerings through the website, you typically have to call around. However, I've never heard of anyone offering an online program. The nature of the interactivity between the instructor and students does not really lend itself well to an online format.

That's interesting- because when I took it we had skills stations. Maybe instructors get to add that? Or maybe our facility combined it with skills check-off day. (LOOOONG time ago)
