I worked with a nurse who cleaned up her patients at the end of her 12 hour shift and not before. She had a patient on a video monitor for seizure precautions once, and I watched as the patient literally was ignored by her. I couldn't stand it and went to take care of him myself. She claimed she was just about to go into there (when she finished reading Harry Potter).

I literally hated her for her lack of ethics. I was so glad when she quit because I was getting ulcers working with her.

gosh, i woulda written her up.

Now the instructor from hell is making me get therapy. She says my personal life is affecting my professional life. (Because my idiot boyfriend got a parking ticket on my car and didn't pay it and didn't tell me and I the notices went to my old address, so a few weeks ago I was driving to work on the NJ Turnpike and I almost ran over a state trooper...he was practically standing in the middle of the highway so I got pulled over for speeding and it turns out my license was suspended unbeknownst to me so not only did I get a speeding ticket and a ticket for driving while suspended, I also got my car impounded and the cop had to take me to work. But not before I was patted down in the middle of the turnpike. Anyhow, it took me a few days to get my license and car back because I had to borrow $500 from a loan shark named Rocco. So I missed 2 days of school. I live far away from my school so I couldn't get a ride. One of those days was when I was supposed to present this seminar with 2 other classmates on suicide survivors. I called ahead of time and explained what happened so my group just presented something in my place and I was going to turn in my portion when I got back to school. Well, I got a zero because she said I should have faxed over my part to someone else in the group. Would be nice if either of us had a fax machine. Where would I fax it to? Mars? This instructor from hell is a pysch instructor, by the way. Anyhoo, yadda, yadda yadda...now I need professional help or she will fail me in clinical.

P.S. This happened on a Sunday when I was on my way to work a 12 hour shift. I called the members of my group from work. I didn't even have the information on me and I didn't get home till after midnight. The seminar was the very next morning.
