please i need help!!!!. i am looking for an evening as nursing program in orlando that i can go to without sacrifying my job. i know about scc evening program but waiting list is too long. vcc nursing program is day shift so florida hospital, and i will have to leave my job. herzing is mixed labs in the morning and classes at night, why is so difficult to find a nursing school and a program that fits the necessities of working people? it's true that if you get into florida hospital program you start working in 6 month? it worth it? please i dont know what to do. :(

seminole community college does not have a waiting list. i am currently taking pre-reqs at the school to apply to their evening program. again, they do not have a waiting list, however, to be considered you must have all of the required pre-reqs completed and a minimum gpa of 3.5. if you are not accepted you have to apply again for the next year. the evening/weekend program starts every january.

Do you know if it is possible to work and attend their evening/weekend program? How many days aweek is the program.

I have 2 other degrees and will have all of the requried pre-requisites, General education and support classes completed by the end of summer 2009. I will also have Chemistry completed (which is not required for their program) by the end of Fall 2009.

I also have College Alegebra, Stats, Sociology etc completed. I am very interested in their evening/weekend class for Jan 2010 and also the program matriculates with UCF's BSN program.

Is there anyone here who can give some insight into Seminole Community College's weekend/evening program.

I went to their nursing info session and they are not very nice about that night program. They were basically like you need to quit your day job and get assistance from your family to be successful. Single mom two kids not happening. The teacher I did have for a pre-req. Kind of nasty. Not help me but help the other chick in class. I'm doing my work. I'm showing up early. I cried and dropped the class. I need something I can do and learn at night. SCC is not really it. I am going to be an RN. No one is going to keep me from it. But if I'm paying cash I was someone to give a heck that this is a life goal YOu won't get that there. Keep looking.
