Hello everyone,

Any nurses here work in NYC? I'm planning to work in NYC (part-time or per diem) God willing I pass the boards here in Jersey. Just wondering, are there are a lot of hospitals hiring there in NYC? How about nursing homes? I actually plan to work part time in a hospital here in Jersey and possibly a nursing home there in NYC. What are some good nursing homes there? Hope someone can help.

Oh wow, there are no new grad jobs in NYC, believe me, myself and all my classmates and everyone who graduated in the past year or year and 1/2 knows this, you can try to get into NY presbyterian nurse residency program if you have a BSN and excellent gpa, but other than that the job market in NY is tough, quite a few of my fellow graduates have move upstate to work, way upstate, Buffalo, Syracuse, etc.
