Nurses General Nursing
Published Aug 8, 2003
I had to get some body work done on my car today. I was talking to the shop owner/mechanic and told him I was in nursing school. He was so impressed that he gave me a 300.00 dollar discount. Whooo hooo. I was very happy.
Just wanted to share.

I've received professional courtesy on several occasions since becoming a nurse. I'd get pulled over for some minor violation, then when the cop realized I was a nurse they'd let me go with a friendly warning. (We do have a lot in common with them; after all, both professions deal with people at their worst!) It's not something I would want to bet on, but it's nice when it does happen, especially since I get preferred auto insurance rates and a ticket would really mess that up........

Dated a policeman, who did express a favortism toward nurses, and pretty women as well......

Just testifying to the professional courtesy. Once a speeding ticket with scope and badge hanging on rear view. I get cops I don't know wave or acknowledge me in my car.
