i am a nurse mom on the other side of the bed. i got the dreaded call that my 20 yr old daughter had been in an accident friday night. wrecked on a four wheeler, not wearing a helmet, wearing flip flops and had been drinking.thank god she is alive. she tore up her knee pretty bad and has road rash all over. will be in the hosptial until monday on iv antibitoics. i can't seperate the nurse and mom in me. gave her a bath and washed her hair this am and everything i did hurt or was wrong. she is at the hosptial that i had worked at for along time, some staff still know me and others don't. her care has been great and the care in the er wonderful. i still feel like i am in a daze. thank god for how lucky we are.

thanks to all for the thoughts and prayers. my daughter came home today. she has mastered the crutches well. i'm going back to work tomorrow. i'm sure she will be glad when i get home. as always, i'm the glue that holds the family together- super glue! thanks again.
