Misread Schedule.

I just landed my dream prenursing job. Today was my second day and I thought I was supposed to work 3-11, but I got a call at 9 saying I was supposed to be in 7-3 today. I feel absolutely awful about it. This is so very very unlike me. I emailed my manager apologizing.I feel like my reputation is ruined.. Is there anything I can do?

I have difficulty remembering what day it is, with shift work. I got an ipad app that let's me input my schedule, and when I call it up it tells me what day I'm on right now, along with when I work. HUGE help.

Deep breath, it will be okay . what is going to be your system to make sure this doesn't happen again? I use google calendar and it also emails me the night before i work. when i put in my schedule I triple check it. I also have a paper copy i can look at.
