Hi guys,I'm taking my NCLEX RN in a couple of weeks but plan on quitting my current CNA position in 2 weeks... Question is, is 6 months of home health CNA experience enough for hospitals to notice my resume? Thanks for any response.

If you are looking for a hospital RN job, I do not think the CNA experience will help that much IMO.

Depends. Some look for previous CNA experience, some don't. I'm not sure how tight the job market is where you are but I would hold onto my CNA job until you land a RN position. Just read some of the posts from other new grads looking for work.. Good luck on the NCLEX and happy hunting for your first job :)

I'm in the Bay Area and everyone raves about needing CNA experience prior to applying for RN positions. The reason why I ask this question is because I need to focus studying for boards PLUS I have another job (not a CNA position) that I plan to work full time on when I quit the CNA job.
