Hello all,

I have been a nurse for 15 years and have never ever had to wear white scrubs, now the hospital have switched to wearing white scrub pants with any colored top due to the patients complaints of not being able to tell the nurse from the cna or the house keeper. My problem is I can't figure out what underwear to wear without showing the underwear (how embarassing). Does anyone know of any uniform shop who might sale white non-see through scrubs or what is the best type and color underwear to wear. Thanks in advance, and again (so embarrassing.:banghead:

Wearing underwear that closely match the color of your skin usually does the trick, so for me I wear beige...white will show up so stear clear of those! Good Luck!

For me it would be wearing beige too but also what helps is to wear boy shorts. On me it does not show the underside of the butt line . My pants are loose enough that where the undies end the pants do not hug enough to show lines. OR least not till i bend over. You could also try seemless so that you can't see the crotch seem either.

Whatever you do, don't wear white! And make sure your pants fit well (i.e. aren't too tight). I have seen white scrubs advertised as non-see through but I don't know how well they work.

Again, I was taught to wear beige, same color as you skin...

Jasco.com sells Can't See through me pants. I love them! They are a little thicker than most whites so they last longer too! And not expensive at all.

Spend a little more for some white scrub pants you can't see through. It's really only the very cheap ones that are totally transparent. I found a good pair of stain resistanct non see through, very cutely shaped/designed white scrub pants at Big lots for $8!! They're out there, just gotta look!

As a general rule of thumb, I wear white panties with the white scrubs, although beige would be better..just like it's better for bras I suppose..

brightly colored undies and patterns don't seem to work, either. but i think you ought to spend more time and energy on fighting this archaic decision than worrying about what's in your underwear drawer!
