How much notice?

So I just returned from maternity and went back as perdiem nights. It's not gonna work, I asked about days n nogo for now. How much notice do I have to give? I am having trouble getting child care for nights.

I read in my handbook just now that it must equal the amount of vacation u qualify for. I would be 4 weeks, I don't think I can do that... What are my rights? I don't know if I can do 4 oh boy

"Rights?" Well, it's not like they can actually force you to work four more weeks. But you should be willing to live with any possible consequences if you don't because I doubt you would have any recourse.

For instance, at one hospital where I worked, if I didn't give at least two weeks notice and work all of my scheduled days for those two weeks, I would forfit my PTO, which amounted to more than $2K.

Plus, you may not be eligible to be rehired there in the future if you don't give proper notice. Make sure you know what your policy is if you decide not to give four weeks notice.

You need to check with HR. Each work place has tehir own policy of how much time is required for different categories of employees.
