Help with announcement wording

Hello all,

I am hoping someone can help me with my graduation announcements.

I am wanting to send out an announcement telling about my graduation, but not necessarily inviting them to my pinning. Can anyone help me with the wording? Also, does anyone have any cute poems..not too serious, but nice...

Better to go with the formal announcement language you see at the stationery store or office supply. You mentioned that you are going to send them to

"... all of the people in my life that have helped me with my kids, been left out of the loop, or have not seen me in 3 years that I am finally graduating."

Sometimes when you try to personalize a printed formal announcement too much it still doesn't say exactly what you want to say to whom you want to say it. Stick with your formal announcement, and thank your friends and family personally, or with a handwritten note card included with the announcement

One thing I haven't seen mentioned:

Are they two totally seperate ceremonies on different days? Ours are... pinning is one day and graduation the next. Our school gave us different invitaitons. Pinning is at the school and seating is limited. Graduation is at a much bigger facility. I would have no probelm invititing people only to graduation. Unless someone is really familiar with nursing they may not even KNOW there is a pinning ceremony involved.

Yes, they are two different things. I am opting to only go to the pinning, not the graduation...

When my (ex) DIL graduated from college they were only allowed 4 tickets! She had a mom, a dad, a husband, 2 half brothers, 3 step-mothers and 2 step-fathers. Needless to say WE didn't get a ticket and neither did our son.....ergo the EX-DIL I guess.

In your instance what *I* would do is get some note cards and WRITE my own thank-you/announcements. No one need know there IS a pinning if you don't want to mention it. That way you can use the wording you said here.
