Some of you may remember my weird situation with the Texas LVN board..We moved there 5 years ago, and since I hadn't worked in the previous 5 years as a nurse, they refused me a license by reciprocity. The choices i was giver were 1) go back to school adn begin all over or 2) go to MichigaN and work for 6-12 months. (verbally they told me 6, other places i heard/saw 12). After going round and round with them for over a year my DH and I decided I should go back to MI and work.

I began working up here in February..at the end of August I sent in the paper work and said a prayer.

My TEXAS LICENSE IS HERE!! I will be home with my husband a kids by the end of the year. YIPPEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really like where I work, and the nurses there, and I really don't like living in Texas, but now my "sentence" has been served and I can continue with my life. I wanted to do the LVN to RN at ACC, but need a texas license to do so.

I already had time off early Dec to see my family, so I will fly down, get my van, drive back, pack the stuff, work aweek or two to pay the expenses and then I am outta here!

OH! I'll be bringing my 10 years old son back with me so he can see snow again and play with his cousins LOL

I 'm so thrilled I just wanted to share, and say "THANKS" for the ongoing emails of support from some of you over the past 11 months!

so THANKS!!!!!!!!!
