Some do, yes.

I am curious why you ask.

When the hospital tests you, it will be in a quiet room with no additional stressors after a decent night of sleep.

When you get tested in real life, it will be at the end of a night shift as all hell is breaking loose.

You have to get 100% on both of these tests.

So- forget about the hospital test, and just prepare yourself for the real test. Get yourself to the same level you would want the nurse taking care of your family to be.

That hospital test will be a breeze.

After CRITICAL CARE nursing about 23 years. I took some time out from 2011 till present. Live in IL. I'm guessing I need to call State board of Nursing to find out what is required for reentry to practice as RN in state of IL. Anyone familiar? Looks to me as if I need a refresher course..can this be online? Any clinical involved? Any info would be greatly appreciated. It's the weekend so need to wait till Monday to find out requirements. I applaud and admire all the nurses here at this forum discussing their goals for getting back to work. I'm starting to feel a bit of anxiety as if I had to go redo nursing program in college. Lol? Can anyone relate? We should "friend" each other for encouragement as we go thru this return to nursing process. Any volunteers. Let's unite!!! ]Anyone agree????
