by kmount Aug 6, '12Hi! I just graduated and am taking my NCLEX in a couple weeks, and have a job lined up in labor and delivery so I want to get my ACLS and NRP as soon as possible. I was wondering if you need your license in hand to get these certifications? I know for BLS you do not.
Please let me know! thanks!!!

EMS/Paramedics and MD's also take them and of course they are all licensed, but ACLS does not require a license.

Wait till you are hired and take ACLS. Your employer will pay for it.
