Can't recall a term for cast?

I see them a lot and know what they are for but the term I can't remember and it's bothering me. I'm only a student however I feel as though I should know the name. It's a yellow foam cover for casts used for immobilization and protection, holes in it as well. It's such a simple thing but I'd just like to know for future reference, thanks.

Are you referring to a sling and swathe?

No, it's like a block of cheddar cheese(best way I can describe it) it goes over the cast.

Won't let me edit; Swiss cheese not cheddar

The only thing I can find in my med-surg text is what's called a "bias stockinette." It goes over the cast and has lots of holes in it...I'm not thinking this is it though. I've never seen nor heard of this particular item otherwise.

I checked over my text books and found nothing, I feel as though it's a carter something, it's like a foam box type thing that goes over an arm cast. I checked the bias but it wasn't it :( thank you though.

Carter pillow?

I work ortho and I'm pretty sure what you're describing is a Carter pillow. The one's I've seen on my unit are yellow but we also have blue ones as well. When I have seen them in use is with arm casts. I tried googling carter pillow but what comes up isn't exactly like what I'm almost positive you are describing.

the closest I can find is this

My mind can rest! Thank you!

I knew it was carter something, thank you!
