On May 9th nurses from all over the state of Ohio will converge at the statehouse in Columbus,Ohio to support Ohio H.B. 78 to ban mandatory overtime in Ohio, improve staffing levels and to raise public awareness to these issues. Details here

Charter buses have been arranged if you have transportation problems.

I hope all Ohio nurses will make an ernest effort to attend. It's our chance to speak out! :D

Go Ohio!!! Good luck to you and hope the statehouse is swamped with nurses. I was so impressed with a video the ONA put out a few months back. Peggy, do you know the one I mean-the one with the patient pressing the call button? If you know where it is on the ONA site, it would be worth linking it here. It's a classic.

I loved that as soon as I first saw it they will be running it at all their events & also showing it to their legislators so maybe it will be screened at that rally too. It should be a national TV commercial in primetime! "Haunting" is the word that came immediately to mind. I dont know if it was the way it was filmed or the music but it gave me chills. Ohio Nurses Association did an excellent job. Those nurses should be very proud of themselves!
