Brian posted an article about an outbreak of Moscow type A virus. It apparently packs a wallop. Most likely this strain will be in all the flu vaccines this fall in the states.

Well, at my unit in Melbourne, Victoria, we have 15 staff, 4 who have been off for a week with the flu. They also report their whole family as being reallly unwell. Unfortunately, I think the nurse is not getting much rest at home if the whole family is ill.

Staffing is really at crisis point, but the patient's keep coming!

I was off for a week...and now I'm still coughing and spluttering during my annual leave. Can't see myself getting much R&R somehow.... :p

Where l work some staff have colds and the normal winter flus - to my knowledge it has not hit us at work yet- I beleive it is in other areas - ie melbourne. But cross fingers we may avoid it - This year havent had the flu injection - so am hoping l avoid it

God bless you and keep you and us to when it get here.
