Air Force Commissioned Officer Training (COT) 2016 - Physical Fitness Test

Hi there - I am reaching out to recent COT graduates to get a feeling of the PT tempo and expectations at COT. I have been told that if you don't pass you are sent home, but others as well as the COT website say your scores will be reviewed and if you can safely pass the PFD by the end of the 5 weeks your good.

I am also wondering about height and weight, do they take those there?

Are the people who get sent home those who are far from passing or pretty overweight?

Thanks everyone!

Thought I'd share this, found it online. My daughter is active duty Air Force, she's been in 21 years now. The fitness standards are for all, enlisted and commissioned, all the same. This link may help you with some of your questions. Air Force Personnel Center - AF Fitness Program

First of all, congrats! I just commissioned as well, but won't know my RCOT/COT date until I start drilling. Personally I'm preparing to fully pass my PT test and stay under weight standards because I anticipate ht/wt and testing as soon as I get there (I'm thinking in November). In fact, the COT website says a baseline test will be administered within 3 days of arrival. As a prior service Army reserve member and spouse of an active duty Navy member, I know "weigh-ins" are part of the testing process. Active duty it's usually the week before. In my Army days, I always had to get taped b/c I didn't meet weight. In the Air Force, the body fat % is 32 for my category (34F). Just practice your push ups (my nemesis), sit ups and run and you'll be fine!
