ADN/BSN-Two different NCLEX's?

All RN's (ADN/BSN/Diploma) take the same NCLEX-RN. LPN/LVN's take NCLEX-PN. I hear it's also no picnic.

Thanks nursemike for your reply. I'm an LVN and the NCLEX-PN was not fun but I did pass it over 7 years ago!!! :yeah:Just wanted to know since I'm working toward my ADN-if I'd have to retake the NCLEX-RN again when I get my BSN? :eek: Makes me nervous just thinking about it!!

You will not have to retake the NCLEX when you get your BSN... all the same test!

The NCLEX is used by all 50 states as a required examination for licensure as a nurse - regardless of the academic degree.

The NCLEX-RN is the NCLEX-RN no matter what state you take it in, and you only have to take it once (unless, I suppose, you let your license lapse and leave the nursing profession for a period of time). Thus, as long as you pass it the first time, you won't take it again.

Nah--if you survive it once, you're good. And since you've already lived through the PN version, it'll probably be cake. Well, at least you'll know what to expect.
