We recently had a baby who had a teratoma (sp?) I am not sure was it is but it was a huge vascular growth on this little ones left buttock, very huge, it was surgically removed and you would never know it was there.
Anyone ever taken care of a baby with CHARGE syndrome? We have one in our nursery now, I have to find some more info on this.

Ours had one like this. The baby weighed 6-something at birth, and weighed 3-something after surgery. Quite amazing.

I was watching Maternity on TLC the other night.
Watched in amazement the segment about a neonate being born with another fetus' immature body encapsulated into the his intestinal cavity. It caused his bowel to be necrotized and he had liver damage also. I never knew anything like this existed.Have you seen this in your practice, Heather, Kristi anyone?

The CCAM topic prompted me to start this thread.
What has been the most interesting baby in your NICU? Examples being syndromes, anomalies, etc.....
I'm sure that some of you with many years of experience have seen some interesting things.
