UCF 2015 FALL BSN traditional program

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hello, I plan on applying to UCF's traditional BSN program in the fall of 2015. Although there is still some time before the application period begins I wanted to start this thread to get the ball rolling for all of us that plan on applying. Also I wanted to see what the application pool is looking like for this cycle in regards to stats. Mine go as this:

Cum. GPA: 3.73

Pre. Req. GPA: 3.84

as for the teas I take it next month

(Wish me luck I've been studying a lot for it, so if u have any tips feel free..lol)

Hope to be hearing back from some of you prospective students with your stats, questions/comments w.e it may be :)

P.s. past students that want to share their experience with the UCF program so far, are also welcome :)

I just decided that I will also apply to the Traditional BSN program! I finished my AA this past semester so I am currently out of school and just waiting for the application window to open! It's like watching paint dry, seriously! Thankfully I have a very busy 4 year old and a 10 year old to keep me busy! Here are my stats!

Overall GPA: 3.656

Prerequisite GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 85.3

My original plan was to apply to the Seminole State/UCF Concurrent program. If I don't get accepted to the Traditional, I will fall back and make that my plan B! The application window opens in just 4 days :)

Good Luck!!!

Good luck to you as well! I'm getting so nervous cause my pre-req gpa isn't a 4.0 :/ do you think I have a good chance with my gpa? I definitely think you do with your 4.0. Also if u don't mind telling me how you studied for the Teas test? I'm taking mine one more time in February to be more competitive, I am just not the best when it comes to standardized test but I'm really trying to hit the 85 mark so any tips would be appreciated :)

I can't believe the application window is about to open, I graduated with my AA in the summer as well so I'm just ready to start!

I think your GPA is great! Very competitive! The only thing I did was take the practice tests from the ATI Site and study guide. I am a good test taker though! I got a 99% in the science section and when practicing I couldn't get higher than a 60% in science... You will do just fine :)

Thank you for the kind words! I'm just going to study my butt off this month.. I really hope it works out for the both of us :)

Well - I sent in my application this morning!!! I went online last night and ordered my background check. Good luck and keep me posted :) I am sure you will do great on your TEAS!!! When will you submit your application?

I am actually doing it right now..question did you really just list only seven pre-req's? I finished all of mine so I almost want to just list all of them but I know in the directions it says list only 7..so did you just list only seven? lol I know probably sound cazy and neurotic but I just want to make sure its done right

I listed all 8 :)

You must have 7 of 8 complete at the time you apply, I believe. I hated picking the 4th science to list as well! I had Chem and Bio.... I went with Chem since you had to pass BIO to get into AP 1 & 2.... I had A's in both and I am sure it doesn't make a difference either way LOL! I was thinking, "which class makes me look more desirable."

Side note - The Certified Profile thing is a pain the backside! You have to sign up, pay and then you have to send in consents and disclosures. Once they get and approve those, you can go back on to schedule an appointment to have your finger prints scanned. I wanted to go tomorrow to have them done, but they are done at UPS Stores and the first available appointment for the one closest to me was Tuesday of next week.

My email address is [email protected] if you ever want to shoot me an email. I don't log onto here very often :)

Thank you for all the info! I definitely might be using your email so thanks for that too, I also went with chem for the fourth science lol but I'm not sure I want to put my current Teas score because its not competitive :/ I mean obviously I am going to send them the one that I am taking soon, so do you think it matters if the scores don't match up? I know I have until Feb 15th to send my score so I don't think it would...

Yeah - I am not sure what to do about the TEAS score LOL! I just logged in and my background check has already come back! Just have to do the finger print portion. I also went to the doctor today and they were able to draw blood to do all my titers :) Got my first Hep B shot and my Tetorifice Booster! I am starting to feel prepared! This is all stuff I need to do even if I don't get into the BSN Basic.

Lol yeah I just decided that I'm gonna wait for my next teas score, but that's great that your getting so much done! Better to get it done now then later
