UCF 2013 Fall-Orlando generic BSN applicants?

Starting a thread for others applying to this program!

For those interviewed, they will either be waitlisted or accepted? Does anyone know that for sure?

@djmeow that's what I want to know! I hope so! I was also thinking that a total of ten prob won't show up on time, another ten will be underdressed, and another ten people will cave in the interview and freeze up because of neves. I'm hopeful that I get in. We find out two weeks after the interview? Is that right?

Unless you provide the interviewers with a strong case as to why you should never be admitted, then there's really no reason that you wouldn't be wait-listed. I recall hearing at an information session that the mean GPA is around 3.75 or 3.8, which means that there were 4.0s and 3.5s. If you're around that average and answer their questions genuinely and clearly, then you're probably in. If we use Mamakate's estimate, which sounds reasonable, there's a 75% that those who interview will be accepted. I like those odds.

Accelerated found out one week after interviews, but their program begins soon. We might get lucky and hear something that quickly, but they'll let us know at the interview when the committee meets and on what day to expect emails (assuming that they follow the same protocol as with Accelerated).

Also, to let you guys know, they time your answers to the questions

Really? How'd you find that out. I'm glad I wasn't too long winded in my answers since I got into the accelerated program :)

They talked about it on the accelerated forum

Oh yeah! Now I remember someone saying one of the interviewers was timing. My interviewers weren't timing (or at least not that I noticed), but it's good info to help you guys prepare :)

Yeah. I want to make sure I say enough in my answers without running on or make the interviewers lose interest

Forgive me if this is a redundant question, but what is a good amount of time for a response? 1-2 minutes, right? Want to know what to shoot for while practicing.

Yeah that sounds reasonable

Hey guys! I'm new here, but I've been reading this particular thread for a while now. I got an invitation to interview and I made my appointment at 8:30. Hope to see all you 8:30 people there! (:
