Remington College of Nursing Summer 2013

U.S.A. Florida

Hello everyone,

I have not seen any recent postings. I was wondering if who else has been admitted to the Summer 2013 term at RCON? Look forward to some responses. :)

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to share my experience with finding an apartment. I researched apartments for what felt like a VERY long time and I have finally reserved my apartment at Bell Timacuan and will be executing my lease when I fly down for orientation. The 2 bed/ 2 bath units in the community are beautiful and the apartments are huge! I got some insight from someone who lives in Lake Mary and my roommate already lives in the Bell Timacuan community. He has had nothing but wonderful things to say about living there and has lived in the area for several years. He used to live in Sanford, and does not speak highly of the apartments that he lived in (but, that's one person's opinion). Just figured I would try and help with the research process because I know how stressful it was for me!

If you guys don't mind me asking, what were your science and undergraduate GPAs and your score on the TEAS test? I just had my phone interview Friday and am still finishing up Microbiology (ending next week) so I have not been given a decision but I would like to see what people who are getting in have.

Thanks!! :)

My science GPA was a 3.3 and my undergraduate GPA was around a 3.2. My score on the TEAS was an 80. I have several years of experience in orthopedics and in critical care as a tech, and my references came from my clinical nurse managers. What really sets this school apart from a lot of others is that the admissions committee looks at the whole picture. Good luck with finishing Microbiology and getting an admissions decision!! :)

My science GPA was a 3.97 and my Teas was an 81.3. I had absolutely no experience in direct healthcare, but I did work with developmentally disabled adults for the past 5 years performing ADL's on a daily basis. I'm moving from Ny to live in Colonial Grand at Town park. Does anyone know what the daily schedules will look like or why orientation is 2 days long?

I also was just accepted!! coming in from portland oregon!! Congrats guys!

Congratulations!!!!

I also was accepted .....I have talked to the people at Pebble Creek, and she said they had some openings. She also said that they are very familiar with Remington students and that there is a study group in the club house that a few students have created... But I want to keep looking around to. I'm so excited to finally start this program! Does anyone know any information about orientation?

I have also heard pebble creek is a good place to live!!

I am moving from New York, I am staying a few days after orientation to hopefully find an apartment, I would like to find a nice, clean furnished place to make things easier but it's hard to judge from what in finding on the Internet. I'm soo excited! Bell Timacuan looked really nice, does anyone know why exactly people are saying Sanford is not good? I also liked, Lakes Edge but that was in Sanford.

Where in NY are you coming from? I'm driving down from Long Island on July 2 and I'm dreading it...

I just found out my old coworker lives in the area he said try your best to not live in Sanford you won't like it. Just an FYI

Okay, thankss!! I will keep looking. No way! I live on the long island, queens borderline and I am also dreading the drive down. My parents are driving with me so it won't be as bad.
