Remington College of Nursing Summer 2013
My science GPA was a 3.3 and my undergraduate GPA was around a 3.2. My score on the TEAS was an 80. I have several years of experience in orthopedics and in critical care as a tech, and my references came from my clinical nurse managers. What really sets this school apart from a lot of others is that the admissions committee looks at the whole picture. Good luck with finishing Microbiology and getting an admissions decision!! :)

Remington College of Nursing Summer 2013
Hey everyone! I just wanted to share my experience with finding an apartment. I researched apartments for what felt like a VERY long time and I have finally reserved my apartment at Bell Timacuan and will be executing my lease when I fly down for orientation. The 2 bed/ 2 bath units in the community are beautiful and the apartments are huge! I got some insight from someone who lives in Lake Mary and my roommate already lives in the Bell Timacuan community. He has had nothing but wonderful things to say about living there and has lived in the area for several years. He used to live in Sanford, and does not speak highly of the apartments that he lived in (but, that's one person's opinion). Just figured I would try and help with the research process because I know how stressful it was for me!

I feel the same way about the reviews! Then again, I feel like people really make a habit of writing reviews when they are unhappy with things, so I'm not sure what to believe. I am definitely planning on having a roommate, it will make things easier especially since I'm only planning on living in Florida for the duration of our program, and places in Lake Mary tend to be more expensive than the surrounding areas!

Acceptance letter into the nursing program
Congrats on your acceptance! I felt the exact same way! I will never forget the feeling when I saw the BIG envelope in my mailbox! :)

Taking the TEAS soon...
Lyn92, Don't be nervous about the TEAS exam, it is not as difficult as a lot of people make it out to be. I took the test once and scored an 89.5%. I used the official study book that had the practice tests, and I took one of the ATI online practice tests to learn the formatting. The ATI test will generate a report telling you the areas you may need a little more practice in. I can be a bit of a nervous test taker myself, but adequate preparation and getting a good night sleep the night before usually helps to settle my nerves. Best of luck to you!

It already is flying by! I'm relocating from Connecticut, so I've started researching places in the area, but it's hard not being able to see them in person! What are your plans for housing? Are you planning on having a roommate?

Will I run in to trouble with this RN degree?
Octobersongs, I have also researched this topic at length, and it depends on the schools themselves. The private university CRNA programs that I have looked into require a BSN degree/RN license, and it does not matter whether your previous school was CCNE accredited or Regionally accredited. You will have to take the GRE and have an outstanding GPA from whichever nursing program that you have graduated from. Good luck with choosing the pathway that will be the best for you!

Remington College of Nursing Summer 2013
Hi mstink88! I have also been admitted to the July 2013 class at RCON! I'm so excited to begin the program, but I feel like I have so much to do in the next month and a half! I'm so glad that you started this thread, it's nice to hear from someone else that's going too! :)

Remington College of Nursing Florida
Congrats agbndm1221! I received my acceptance letter a little over a week ago as well and I can't wait to start in July :)! I also have been researching apartments, I will be relocating from Connecticut so I have no idea what I'm getting into. I have heard good things about the Pebble Creek apartments, but I don't have any personal experience in the area. Octobersongs, I applied regular admission and found out fairly quickly. There has been a relatively short amount of time between receiving my acceptance letter and the start of the program, so coming from Japan you may want to apply for early admission!
