Hey all! I will be relocating to Tampa this year and have been trying to research the hospital systems, but you can only learn so much from the organization's websites. I primarily have MICU/SICU experience and currently work for a Trauma II organization. Are there any hospital systems in the Tampa area that anyone here would recommend I try out OR avoid? Any hospitals in the area known for better pay/benefits, etc? Any info would be really appreciated as I make this big move!

Tampa General and St. Joseph's have strong reputations in Tampa. I can't give you more specifics because I have not started working as of yet and am pondering offers from both of these hospitals for acute care.

Anyone have anything to say about Baycare or Largo?

largo has a critical care program for new grad but they will most likely put you in a step down tele/pcu unit and they DO NOT have the best reputation and some have said its and "un-safe" work environment

Tampa General is the best in the area. Then I would look at BayCare St. Joe campus. I have worked Largo through an agency... It's okay... But I felt a lot safer with my license at BayCare.

Tampa General or All Children's:)
