Hello!

I am a new nurse, been working on a crazy Neuro/med surg floor here in Tampa, FL since August. I love my job because my co-workers are awesome and supportive. My job is hard and crazy and I want to scream a lot/end up crying at the end of my day. . .but I am learning a ton and it is a fun work environment because everyone else is running around, too.

I have to move to Boca Raton this Spring because of my husband relocating. I am a nervous wreck at the thought of leaving my job and trying to find a new job. I am still so new and still learning basic skills. What if a new hospital won't hire me, or what if I can't find a great environment?

Any insight? Any hospitals in the Boca Raton area that would be better to work for than others?

Thank you!!

Hi there! I lived in Boca Raton for over 10 years while I was growing up. From what I remember there really aren't too many "big" hospitals in the area. Depending on what part of Boca you will move to, there is Boca Raton Community Hospital on the east side of town and West Boca Medical Center on the west side of town (on 441). Good luck in your relocation and job search!

depends on where you are moving from. If you are moving from anyplace where people are nice and civilized, then yes - get ready to deal with the most obnoxious, spoiled, demanding people you have EVER EVER met. I have worked in Boca area for a year now and am just starting to get used to the culture down here.

If you are from New Jersey/NYC area, you will be fine. It will be just like home.

Good luck.
