Miami Dade College BSN 2013

Hello everyone, I figure I open this topic to those that will be starting the BSN in the fall of 2013 at MDC.

Since we will be starting together, we can post suggestions, concerns, questions, clarifications, or even the need to vent as I am sure this will happen.

Of course, those that started previously are welcome to post here too, and guide us to a successful program.

As an ADN MDC graduate, I am happy to be back home.

So here I will go first:

- I will be starting the program with 2 classes first. Most likely on Saturdays for now. At this rate, I will finish in five semesters, however I think it is great the we have the ability to take as little as one class and as many as 3 or four, we even have the ability to scale back if too much or add more classes the following semester. *** Just remember we cannot take Community Health Nursing Practicum and Advanced Concepts Practicum together.

- The mandatory orientation to the simulator lab is only on Thursdays at hours that some are working, no evening hours or Saturdays .... mmmm... this sucks (here is my first vent )

- Yep, we are back to dealing with the TBA professors. I guess they have to do this.

- It is great that they are making it possible for almost everyone to get some sort of aide to the program. Here hoping for even the $500 scholarship.

- Not sure, if I will join the BSN Honor Society if it goes much higher than what they are presently asking. The PTK, really did nothing for me, well...except it was nice walking with the regalia, this part I liked.

That is all I have for now. Hopefully we can get a group going
