IRSC Fall 2014 Hopefuls!

Hey everyone! I know this is super early to be talking about the fall semester but I just got my denial letter for the Spring 2014 semester so I wanted to make this group for anyone that's applying or didn't make it in like me. I got a 109 score on my NLN exam which makes my total points for program 130. I took A&P I & Micro which accounts for my points. I would like to retake the NLN in 6 months & hopefully I can do much better. I'm currently enrolled in A&P II & plan on just studying my butt off for the nln in the process. Classes I have left before I'm done with all my "pre-requisites" are A&P II (which I'm currently in), Chemistry, and Nutrition. (which I plan on taking those in spring/summer). Maybe we can get a study group together eventually if anyone is interested! Best of luck to everyone! :)

Hi! I am going to be applying for nursing school next year and I was wondering what you alls thoughts on the IRSC program are? Pros and Cons. I am trying to decide between IRSC and PBSC

Hey guys! I'm going to apply for next semester (Fall 2015) & was curious what was a typical week hours like for you? My husband & I are trying to figure out a plan for our schedules & what we'll do with our 2 kids. Ex. Class 8-5pm a normal day & Clinicals 6:30-3pm? Thank you for any advice!! :)

For our first semester we had class Monday 8-1, clinicals Tuesday and Wednesday 6:45 am-2:45 pm and tests on Fridays at 8 am. I really like the setup of the program and all of our instructors were really great.

I don't know if anyone comes on this particular board anymore but just had a question for anyone that got accepted & is in nursing school? Do you think I have a chance of getting in if I got a C in Mirco lecture. I don't know anyone personally that is in but I've heard if you made any C's in the major science classes they don't even consider you. (I did get B's in both a&p1 & lab & a B in micro lab.) I just don't know if i should give up after being denied twice. Thank you!

I scored a 138 on the NLN and my A&P points add up to 13. I am currently taking Micro and wondering if whatever grade I get in the class/lab will still count towards my total score even though I'm just taking it this semester? How long are scores processed typically?

You only get points for the classes that are already complete before the application deadline.

Usually 4-6 weeks. You have a better overall score than me and I finished all my pre-reqs! Good luck!!
