Hi sugar12,
I'm wondering what the in class tests are like? I know there are 2, right? I want to make sure im studying the right thing. The ECCO modules are very intense and I'm worried I wont' know everything I need to for the test. Do they give study materials or is it all on the ECCO?
Thanks

Hey can anyone answer some questions regarding the HCA contracts? I am hoping to start a StarRN program soon while keeping my job at a fire department. How much is the contract for? What happens if you need to switch to part time from full time? Does part time still fulfill the contract? Thanks

$10,000 they won't change until you full fill the contract

Tests are easy. I had great instructors. They have a review prior to the exam. Similar to nursing school.
@devhrt12 Did you like the program?

I'm in Specialty Program but I don' t care for this program because it goes to fast and not enough time in hospital. I feel more hands on training in hospital is better. I don't feel I'm ready to go on my own after all this time wasted in class. But teachers were nice but I felt it could have been better. Even my preceptor said it's too laxed. WE need more time in the hospital for training.
I liked it. I felt more confident in my nursing skills since it was the HCA protocol. The six weeks of preceptorship built my confidence higher and Comparing what I learned from nursing school to practice huge difference. Even the nurse manager mentioned that she would rather hire someone who was a StaRN than someone who didn't went through the program.
Thank you for sharing!

Hi guys! I am very interested in working at Aventura hospital. Is there a specific recruiter for a staRN program?
