FSCJ Summer 2013 Nursing Students

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hi everyone, well I'm starting this convo so we all can get an idea of who, what, when, and where with FSCJ. Good topics would include testing materials, the average ranking of points for the upcoming term, and any other useful ideas that will help us all get into to this crazy hard nursing program! :) So, lets see if we can help each other out....and it's kinda fun to talk about nursing as well :)

Well everyone the LPN letters came out today! I had applied as a back up plan since the RN program is like applying to become the president! Haha. Anyways, I got accepted to the LPN program! I've got my choice of days or evenings. I'm torn because I've got to let them know by Feb 22nd! Eeeee. We won't know about RN till after March. Ugh! But this was a nice Valentines day ;)

Hey Lucy how's Micro going? :)

Going pretty well so far. Love my professor - she's very laid back but at the same time willing to do what she can to help her students and make sure they understand the material. Thanks for asking. How is everything going with you??

Micro is great! My professor is a great teacher...and shes very nice as well. LOTS of studying for one class tho. :) But your class sounds like its going well too! I was just checking up on ya, I remembered we both were taking micro this semester :)

Thanks Lucy! Yes, it's a tough decision. Lol. I'm stressed. Haha. ;)

Congrats abpeeler for your first of two acceptance letters!

I have never had regrets of becoming an LPN first. Being in the RN program now was just the next logical step for me. I know you are waying your options with great consideration - so I wish you luck with that!

I knew that you would enjoy Prof Bloodworth. She did become one of my favorite professors! You can tell that she loves her subject and she takes the time to learn everybodys name. I have never seen that before. I also had never taken a class where we did every single lab.

Looking forward to onward progress.

Thank you so much! I think it'll be a good choice as well!

And professor Bloodworth is great! She's very smart and does seem to really love her knowledge of micro. She told the class last week that I had the best group in class ;) I was happy about that. Lol. :) thanks again ;)

And a quick question for ya...which schedule did u take during the LpN program...days or evenings? And how were the semesters...like did u go everyday all day or a few days per week? Sorry for all the questions. Lol. I'm just curious Thanks in advance...I appreciate it! :)

Any one know when summer applicants should expect to receive their letters?

Any one know when summer applicants should expect to receive their letters?

Late March / early April. Official word from FSCJ is "8 weeks from application deadline of February 1". Hope that helps.

I applied last semester for spring start and the letters came out about three weeks after the deadline. I didn't get in because I was taking 4 of my prerequisites just kind of wanted to see where I needed to be points wise to get in for summer. If they send out letters like they did last semester we should hopefully know by the end of this week or early next week! I know I'm getting excited, good luck to everyone :)
