I know it is a little early, but anyone plan on applying for FCCJ's spring 2010 program?? If I can get my Nat points up and if I do well in Micro this summer , I will be ready to apply!!!:yeah:Finally!!

I didn't turn in my app for the diversity program :( But I did just get a call and I got approve for the worksource scholarship! I go tomorrow to talk about my funding yay!!!! :)

Question about the Diversity Program, I have a friend who got accepted into the nursing program through the diversity program and not the regular way like I did, how is that so?

The Diversity program is designed to assist minorities and males overcome academic, financial and career awareness barriers to become a Registered Nurse. At first I thought it was just a scholarship, I received a letter but I also received a formal letter from the nursing program. When I called they said I could still benefit from the program, my friend said she received a call today and they allowed her into the nursing program through the diversity program and she didn't get anything from the nursing department.... I was wondering did they add extra seats for the individuals who got accepted through that program who weren't already accepted the regular way?

Actually I got denied for the regular program as well, I but got in through the Diversity Program and now I will be starting the ADN Program along with you. The Diversity program is meant to get minorites and males accepted. Although I only missed the regular program by only a few points. It was 85 applicants and only 24 seats, and it was based on your GPA, and recommedations, and interview. So granted there are people that will be in ADN program that had way less than the cutoff but really deserved a seat.

Yes there were 24 extra seats for minorites and males that will be in the regular program and will get extra funding. Mrs.***** will be contacting them as well.

Thats what I thought! I got accepted the regular way and also got a letter about that program they said I could still apply and benefit from the program. Will you guys be attending the orientation on Monday as well? Congrats and see you soon!

congrats! i was like that too! my husband was laughing at me bc when the ups guy knocked on our door i jumped up and started dancing my way to the front door, haha! how do they fit??

I too tried everything on and my husband was like "really you are going to try it on." I felt like I was in high school! It was too fun!

I do not know about anyone else but everything is HUGE! See you all MONDAY!

In regular clothes I wear a size 7/8 juniors 8 women so I wasn't sure what size to order so I ordered Large everything and they fit just fine :)

Large and you are a 7/8 - I am suprised you are not swimming in them. I am a size 2 and ordered X-small and XX-small and it is all big! I think I am going to try it all on again to make sure!

OHHHH NOOOOOO!!! Mine might be too small then. I ordered smalls bc I wear small scrubs here at work. I wear a 7 womens. YIKES. Maybe I should chane my order.

I think you will be good. I ordered X-smalls (I am a 2 or a 4) so if you are a 6 or 8 a small should fit. My X-smalls are too big. I went by the size chart on-line. I think everything runs big so you should be good with a small.
