FAU 2015 ABSN Applicants

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Applications are open for FAU's January 2015 enrollment date! With just over 4 months until the deadline and 8 months to the start of the program, now seemed like as good a time as any to start a forum to ask questions, relay information, and support possible future classmates.

To start off, I was wondering if any one knew if they normally offer a ABSN program that begins in the Spring. I had only heard of admittance to the Summer semester at the beginning of May.

Best of luck to everyone!

Hey everyone! I've decided to withdraw my admissions offer from the nursing school. I've really loved my time at FAU but I think it's time for me to head somewhere new. I want to wish all of you the best of luck. I've really enjoyed participating in this thread. It really made the process a little less stressful. You guys are wonderful and I know you're going to be amazing nurses!

Pipmunk- I wish you well in your future endeavors! Good luck!

Best of luck Pimpmunk.

@scrubslove I just sent it in via express mail, should be there tomorrow. Just hoping there's no more surprises.

Thatguy777- I wholeheartedly agree!!

Just to clarify: no one else did the student affirmation and oath did they? It's the only thing I don't have completed.

Jessielb98- I completed it, though someone mentioned we don't have to. It was easy for me because I work in an office with a notary.

jessielb98 it is definitely due a year from now, Colleen said it yesterday when I handed in my paperwork for fingerprints.

Besides everything on certified profile including drug test, fingerprints, and background check we don't need to do anything else right? I have this uneasy feeling I am missing something!

Thanks for the help everyone! I have the same feeling but I think we should be fine! I just really want to register for classes!

jessielb98 I can't wait either! Everything is so up in the air about our schedule. Seems so strange in a month our whole lives are changing!

Anyone have any idea when well receive the official acceptances?

Seriously! They don't give us much time to get settled. I'm moving my wife and three kids down there and finding an apartment is tough. We can't get financial aid assistance because we're not officially accepted so I don't even know how much I can afford for an apartment. I know they transitioned to a new start date, but I think in the future they need to give a little more time for people to make accommodations.

@coachepperson I'm glad I'm not the only one who is frustrated. I've sent numerous emails, left numerous voicemails without a reply since 11/12/2014...
