Do the hospitals in FL hire or prefer BSN over ADN?

- Jul 20, '12 by delphine22A lot of hospitals *say* BSN is required but they hire plenty of ADN grads -- Florida Hospital in Orlando is a notable example. Aside from large teaching hospitals like that and Tampa General, ADNs are perfectly OK in Florida. Florida is DYING for nurses so hospitals can't get too picky, even if they say they are going for Magnet. But if you are worried you are better off applying for smaller non-teaching facilities.
