Anyone Applying to the May 2017 program? I wanted to get into the January program but I was missing a math class and couldn't complete it in time for the January program.

Happy New Year!

Hope everyone has enjoyed their break!

Just a reminder, all paperwork (HESI scores, transcripts, etc.) must be received by February 15, 2017 in order to be considered for the upcoming May 2017 program. Decisions are expected to be out toward the end of February, early March.

Good luck!

Hello Nichole,

I submitted my application for May 2017 back in November. I have a feeling that I made a mistake when I filled it out (not sure if I put the correct student number)... is there a way this can be reviewed or do I need to submit a new application?

How can I confirm that my application was received/processed and it didn't get lost before the deadline is over? I have a receipt of the $20 application fee, but I was not given a receipt when I personally submitted the application and the Hesi score at north campus. I fear that my application gets lost since I applied early December and I don't realize it until after it is too late. Thanks for your help!

Hello Nichole. I just applied to BCC and am currently having my transcripts mailed to the college to apply for the May program. Once I pay the application fee and have my transcripts, hesi scores and app. paid, is there a separate application I need to fill out online or in person to apply to the program or will this generate automatically to the nursing dept. as a current applicant?

Is there any HESI reviews for the entrance exam at BC? Palm Beach State has a a few tutoring sessions and an entire course for reviewing the HESI.. I haven't found anything like that at BC. Is it just read and study on our own?

How hard was the HESI to take? I'm mostly worried about the A&P and Math.. I sometimes think too much when it comes to testing and freak myself out lol... any tips ?

The HESI Admission assessment book by Elvesier I'm told has worked really well. It's what I'm currently using to study. Of what I've hear, the past tests have been basic A&P so if you study the book and maybe some quizlets and past notes, you should be fine. The math is basic math and I hear the test leans more towards ratios, proportions and unit conversions. Of course all tests are different and this is just specific peoples experiences.

Oh ok thanks

I called the school and talked to one of the nursing advisors and she said last semester they were letting students in with a 3.1 gpa.. so she said i won't have anything to worry about, now I hope this HESI test goes smoothly!

Yes--that was the ONLY book I used to study and I did very well.

Oh my you will get right in! No worries for you. I am at a 3.0 and am retaking a Keiser class to play it safe. I need an A too.. I think I am in the same boat as others. Anyone know the downfall of getting in in May other than the summer semester being short? I feel like I would want the first semester to be short instead of the last. Also, they look at A&P 1 & 2..and what else to be considered for the program? Like, what other classes would affect my points.

Fingers crossed for all of us!!
