how did you guys pay for keiser? I need to retake the math course there, but they want $2200 for one class.. ugh.. and they said I cant get financial aid at BC and keiser at the same time. Otherwise I have to wait for January!

I took the HESI- everything but a&p -- I got an 89% in Reading 100% Grammar 85% in Math 89% Vocabulary just need to go take the A&P part, I wanted to take them separately, so I didn't get overwhelmed with the studying ! It's getting close!

what was on the HESI, how in depth was the A&P section? I took it like 5 years ago, so im a little rusty on it

Hey Nichole - I just have a quick question. I went to another for-profit college and started the nursing program, took Fundamentals and the school and nursing program ended up closing and ended up being pretty bad for students, so I left the school. I am just wondering if that will be held against me when I apply to Broward. I have a 3.7 gpa with the nursing pre-reqs, I just don't want this other school to get in my way (more than it has already!) thank you!

I have a question, is there a paper application for the Nursing program, or is it all online through BC? I am trying to apply for August 2017, but can't find it on the site. Thanks and good luck to everyone!

I have all the pre-reqs done, I am taking a short semester of MAC1105 that will be over in March, so I will be able to apply for August. I still need to take the HESI, I am nervous about that! So far I have a 3.6 GPA in all my pre-reqs (A&P 1&2 and labs and ENC1101) I've taken Microbiology too, so I wont have to take it in the core. Where do you want to go Central?

it depends on what class it is, the labs and classes are usually together as one course and so its more expensive.. I took all my pre-reqs for Broward at Keiser and Palm Beach State and even with a pell grant, scholarship, and loans, I was still paying $100 out of pocket every month for keiser... its crazy! At Broward, I am paying $1000 for 3 classes and I'm getting money back from my pell grant at the end of the semester.

What is the point system everyone is talking about? I have a 3.6 in the pre-reqs (A&P1&2 A's, Enc1101 B, A&P1lab B, A&P2lab A) but I'm not sure what my points would be or even how to calculate it ... help ?

They (BC) took my courses from Keiser, I took all of pre-reqs from Palm Beach State and Keiser, but they are taking all of them. I asked at the Information session last week and the nursing dean told me they take accredited courses as long as registration ok's it

This is from the BC Nursing website pre-reqs list: GPA of 2.5 is required in the following courses with asterisk (*): *ENC1101 English Composition *BSC 2085 and *BSC 2085L Anatomy and Physiology I and Lab *BSC 2086 and *BSC 2086L Anatomy and Physiology II and Lab A general education math course (MAC1105, STA2023, MGF1106, MGF1107, or higher) Admission requirement not calculated in prerequisite GPA). Grade must be C” or better. MCB2010 and MCB2010L Microbiology and Lab. (Graduation Requirement. Not required for consideration into the RN program) Students must earn a grade of C or better in all courses and meet the minimum required pre-requisite GPA to be eligible to apply.

Oh ok thanks I called the school and talked to one of the nursing advisors and she said last semester they were letting students in with a 3.1 gpa.. so she said i won't have anything to worry about, now I hope this HESI test goes smoothly!

Is there any HESI reviews for the entrance exam at BC? Palm Beach State has a a few tutoring sessions and an entire course for reviewing the HESI.. I haven't found anything like that at BC. Is it just read and study on our own? How hard was the HESI to take? I'm mostly worried about the A&P and Math.. I sometimes think too much when it comes to testing and freak myself out lol... any tips ?
