Broward College hopeful for May 2013 Nursing Program

I know there is a lot of confusion going around with the new requirements for the BC nursing program so I wanted to start a thread for those of us finishing prerequisites and applying in January. I'm in the Core class now, but other than that I'm finished with everything else and getting very excited to start next year!

So excited...I'm going to bring two pens! See you at 9am...woo hoo!!

Hello everyone, I just got a great book from the library so I thought I would share. It is called "Mosby's Tour Guide to Nursing School" by Melodie Chenevert. It has some great tips and advice for nursing students to help them get better grades and stay on track. Best of all there were many more copies available (free is awesome) and they probably have it for electronic download too. I went to the West Regional Branch that was on Broward Blvd. a few streets West of University Drive, but they probably have it at other locations too. : ) See everyone Friday.

I got a book from BN called math skills for nurses. I've been reading/practicing from it and it really helps.

I decided to decline my seat today because I was offered a seat in UCF's accelerated BSN program this summer. So someone on the waitlist will be getting a call soon!! Good luck to you all with the program, I know you'll rock it and become amazing nurses!! :)

The following link is for math practice skills at North campus, but I'm sure it's taught the same way at the other campuses. Feel free to practice Workbook A because that's what they will require you to do when you start.

Hectic week. I almost forgot about tomorrow! Thank goodness a friend from class reminded me. I was planning to catch up on my sleep! Not a chance. Welcome to nursing, lol. I will be in the 1PM group. Then onto CPR on Saturday.
