Broward College hopeful for May 2013 Nursing Program

U.S.A. Florida

I know there is a lot of confusion going around with the new requirements for the BC nursing program so I wanted to start a thread for those of us finishing prerequisites and applying in January. I'm in the Core class now, but other than that I'm finished with everything else and getting very excited to start next year!

I wish there was a way to set up an alert when your status on the limited application status changes...then I could alter my obsessive online stalking somewhat...Hmmn..nope I wouldn't trust that the alert would be fast enough.

If we don't get word today, I'm going to stomp my feet and hold my breath in front of the Health Admissions lady's desk until I get an answer...oh with my arms crossed. Then immediately apologize.

I am getting genuinely irritated, but it is just frustration. It's not like I can call and yell at someone for not giving me an answer early! I do feel your pain though, I want to go to Health Admissions and assume a toddler's tantrum pose on the floor before screaming bloody murder.

Ok you all gotta check something for me. When checking my limited app status I accidentally clicked on registration/ admission status. It says I may register beginning march 15. Now according I the academic calendar the only students that may register on march 15 are grad candidates, hon, bach, vets, health.

Do you think that means anything?!?

Mines say that registration date as well.. I was wondering what that means

Because our degree says AS-Nursing, I think we are all considered Healty Science students already.

yes, another pup avatar!

Interesting! My registration status says 3/15 as well, but my degree is still Associate in Arts so I am not sure if that is an automatic thing that happens when you apply for the RN program?

I saw that yesterday and laughed at myself for even thinking it might be a sign!

Specializes in Mother Baby / NICU.

My registration date says 3/18. :( The academic calendar says continuing students register 3/24 so maybe I'm part of the 3/15 group but at a later date? Makes me anxious nonetheless!

Sorry to burst some bubbles- just checked my son's and his says 3/18 as well so this is probably nothing. He is not in this field and this is his first semester. sooooooooooo

BACK TO WAITING!!!!!!!:arghh::banghead: and REFRESHING!!!!:yes:

I think there might be something to the dates. Last week mine said 18th... now it says the 15th. According to the latest registration calendar update (which does not appear in all places on the BC website - see below), Health Sciences registration begins the 15th and continuing, new and re-entry students is March 18th.
