The long month...

I graduate May 8th. I've already taken and crushed the HESI, so I'm not particularly worried about NCLEX.

The problem is my ICU internship doesn't begin until June 8th. As I will likely be receiving my GN temp. license in the middle of May, I will have at least 3 weeks working in my current job as a monitor tech. Talk about buzzkill--- here I was thinking I finally could get out of my telemetry dungeon and yet I'm stuck there for nearly a month.

And no, I don't start receiving GN pay until 6/8, either, so I will be working an unlicensed job with a temporary license and very real professional responsibility/standard of care.

I'm hoping to schedule the NCLEX asap-- what are the odds I'd be able to find a test date prior to 6/8? It'd be nice to get it over with and would give me an excuse to take a week of PTO off to lessen the wait.
