Anyone out there recently have an interview w/ Samuel Merritt College for the ELMSN-NP program?? I have one on Mar 20th and would love to hear how it is set up.

How did you interview go at Samuel Marritt. I'll be applying there for Fall 2005. Will appreciate your response. I dont know if I can do that my plan is to apply for both EntryMSN (First preference )and BSN program at Samuel. So that I start Nursing by next Fall.Been taking Pre-Reqs for a long time now. Just want to get Started now. I also have a BS in Information systems. Any Advise. Will Appreciate. Do let me know about the interview at SM. Thanks-:balloons:

So, lovemedicine - did you end up applying to Samuel Merritt for Fall of 2005? I'm going to be starting the ELMSN - FNP program this fall and would love to know some classmates in advance!

I just interviewed last week and thought it went ok. I was hoping that I got in on the early acceptance but I didn't hear from them by today. I'm soooo sad. But hopefully I hear from them soon. After they let the early acceptance people know, they tell everyone else.

The interview itself was pretty laid back. I'm glad I went because it reinforced the fact that I want to be an NP eventually and gave me the chance to get to know the school.

If there is anyone who is in for fall 2005, please share. I want to end up here eventually and if I don't get in would appreciate any hints.

Definitely don't read too much into the fact that you haven't heard from them yet! They offered me early admission a week and a half ago, but I still haven't recieved any paperwork in the mail yet...which means that no one has had the opportunity to accept or decline the early admissions. At my interview day, nearly everyone had applied to multiple programs, which means that a good percentage of those offered admission will probably accept elsewhere. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you - definitely let me know if you get any good news! I'd love to know some classmates in advance.

Quick question - do you happen to know the official start date of the program? People have said "Fall" but that's not terribly specific!

I did ask this at the interview. It's August 29. DId they tell you at the interview? I interviewed on Sat March 19. If you intereviewed that day, did I meet you? I was the former engineer who graduated from Cal Poly.

No, we didn't meet at the interview - I was at the March 4th interview day (in the pouring rain). Hopefully, we'll be classmates in a few months though! I was really impressed with the faculty and students - though a little nervewracking, the interview day was a really nice time to get to know the program. Do you mean did they tell me the acceptance at the interview? If so,then no, it took a week and a half before they called.

So, is August 29th the first day of orientation or the first day of classes? I'm hoping to do a little traveling, but don't want to book non-refundable tickets that will make me miss any important stuff for the program!
