Job Status: Open/Closed?

I have a crazy question to ask? After applying for a RN position online and you see under your current Job Status: Open....... Then several weeks later you see Job Status: Closed.....

Does this mean that they are currently looking at applications & are no longer accepting job applicantions for this current position or does it mean that you didn't get the job?

I have always wanted to know this answer? Thanks in advance for your comments....:confused:

Yes, if it is closed, they have chosen someone else. If it is open, they are looking through the resumes and trying to pick the best person for the job. I have hundreds of applications out there and I continuously check the status.
