Has anyone taken the Hurst review? Our school is having the Hurst review in January and I've heard that it was an excellent review. I was wondering if anyone has taken it and what your experience was with it. Is it really worth it or not? Thanks in advance.

Specializes in Geriatrics, Cardiac, ICU.

I haven't personally taken it, but I will in January. My hospital pays for new grads to take it and everyone I talk to says this is all they did to prepare and they passed with 75-80 questions on the first try.

Specializes in general surgical, women's surgery.

My school did ERI review. I wasn't impressed with it. I paid for the Hurst review and participated in it at another school. I feel the Hurst Review was excellent and much better preparation than any other review course or material I studied. The questions on the Hurst review CD were most similar to NCLEX test questions over any in Kaplan review or the books you can buy in stores.

I graduated in May of 2007 and took the NCLEX over the summer, passing with 75 questions. I now work in cardiac care in a great hospital.

Specializes in Postpartum/Nursery.

My hospital will pay for me to take any review, and I chose the Hurst review. I've heard great things as well!
