Starting FCCA

Im starting the 2 FCCA May 6, I'm excited but scared at the same time. Any tips in studying would help. Wish me luck!

Congrats, on making it so far! I have 5 more test before I can schedule for fcc but my advice is to study hard and have confidence in yourself. You have made it this far.

If I pass LS3 (pray for me) on Tues I will also be taking the FCCA starting in May! Can we talk with eachother about it I wonder??

I don't know, on another thread I asked what the FFCA consisted of and someone said it can't be discussed

But if we are taking same thing at same time I don't see the problem

No you cannot discuss the FCCA with other students. It is not a collaborative class as per Excelsior and collaboration is considered academic dishonesty and can get you dismissed from the program. Excelsior representatives do monitor public message boards including groups like the ones on Yahoo!.

I know, it seems to be very hush hush....it might be helpful to have a study buddy. Are you taking both together?

Study buddies can be considered a collaborative effort and thus subject you to discipline by Excelsior for academic dishonesty.

Per Excelsior staff, if you are a student enrolled in the FCCA, it is NOT to be a collaborative effort. Collaborating with other students regarding the FCCA is a violation of EC's academic honesty policy. In this light, I am requesting that you do NOT discuss the FCCA exam itself on this forum.

I know that many posts are of a vague nature, but I would hate for anyone's posts here to jeopardize his/her enrollment in the program, as violating academic honesty can result in dismissal from the program. Asking about things like cut-off dates, etc., is fine, but as far as content, or working through assignments ... that's a no-go.

I'm amazed by some of the posts on the actual EC site student discussion pages. Students asking for others study notes etc. I assume that is a no no? Someones going to get in hot water.

Excelsior has stated--repeatedly--that the FCCA is not a collaborative effort.

If students are going to asking each other for notes on the actual EC site or anywhere else, then they will have no one to blame but themselves when Excelsior lowers the boom on them. They're foolish to think that Excelsior doesn't monitor other sites including this one...guess those students will figure it out the hard way.
