Passed My First Excelsior Test!!!

I am estatic! Imagine me, having never taken a college level class before, getting a B on my A&P exam! This is definitely a confidence-booster. So my plan is to take 1 test every 2 weeks (thats how long I studied for the A&P exam), since I have to take the gen ed and nursing theory tests. I want to have my RN license in my hand by this time next year and then I plan to enroll in the RN-BSN program immediately afterwards. Do you guys think this timeline is doable? Is it overambitious? Thanks for any feedback!

Great job! I am on a test every two weeks also and can tell you it is doable. The hardest part is staying motivated; all I seem to do is study.

It took me a month for microbiology but then after that I started the nursing courses and have taken them every 2 weeks without a problem. I have LS 1 next and have my test already scheduled 2wks out (but i can reschedule if i dont feel ready). I have heard the LS courses are more difficult so not sure on the 2 weeks there. Are you using study guide 101? I accidentally printed Health Differences. I would be willing to send it to you, if you think it would be helpful. You would just need to purchase the notes from sg101, so I wasn't breaking any rules.

Great job cluvlpn! Im reviewing to take my AnP from there also. And yes your goals are absolutely obtainable. I wish I had that much dedication!

Good job, now you can work out what worked and didn't work for you to pass, you can get more efficient at studying.

@ 541ginny-I did not use study guide 101 to study; I just used my A&P book from my LPN program. And thanks for offering me the print out for Health Differences, but for some reason I already got credit for this exam (at least that's what it said on my transcipt--not sure I got credit for the exam without actually taking it, maybe I should ask an advisor about it).

Now its onto the next exam, Transition into the RN Role in two weeks!
