How does your ED treat chest pain?

I am wondering how your ED treats chest pain. We get EKG in 15 mins, start IV give IV nitroglycerin, Zofran,Ativan, Dilaudid.5, Asa, and Plavix and chest X-ray and cardiac panel. What are your guys orders like?

I graduated from Purdue University and presently practice in Northeast.

You are right it isn't my business and you do not need to answer...however you have already stated you practice in Ohio and Kentucky

Hep Lock, EKG, Labs, Monitor, ASA, Nitro SL, Chest XRAY,...the morphine might follow (depending on results of Nitro, and which Provider is on)

We aren't allowed to give Zofran. It's contraindicated unless expressly ordered and documented by provider.
