Looking for 100% online MSN to DNP that doesn't cost a fortune?

I would love to get my DNP but need a program that is 100% online. No requirement to visit the campus for orientation or whatever. Also cost will be a factor. Prefer a state university but would consider any school that is reasonable. Thanks!

What is your MSN in? Touro University Nevada has an online DNP for academic educators only. Very reasonable cost.

I know you want no campus hours, but being in Jersey, maybe you'd consider Chatham in PA. It requires only 2- 3 day visits at the beginning and end of the program. It is geared toward APNs wanting a DNP and the cost is also reasonable.

I'm doing the MSN to DNP program at the University of South Alabama. One of the most affordable. I think it's around $465 per credit unit. No campus visits required.

Check out university of Southern Indiana. I was told by one of program director that there were no campus visits.

My director just graduated from there and there WERE two campus visits required. Unless they JUST changed it- which is possible,

Just like you said anything is possible. This is the email that I got on 12/20/2014 from the University of Southern Indiana for the MSN program-Psychiatric track.

"Hello - Clinical hours are 665 total.

There are no campus visits.

There is no direct observation any longer. Thank you."

Unless something changed. Don't know why your director had campus visits though.

That's good to know- thanks. She just graduated- so it must be a recent change. A friend is considering that same post-masters NP program.

Fun fact: My two college age kids go to USI /one in RT one on OT. It takes FOREVER to drive there from Indy. My son says "It's as far away as you can get from home and still pay in-state tuition!"

You are welcome. It just occurred to me that maybe different specialties require campus visits. Oh well. Bummer about your kids having to travel so far for school. Maybe they could take some courses online if it's offered.

I graduated from USI with an MSN and can confirm "no campus visits required" for that program. The costs were very reasonable as well.

i have not inquired myself, but a friend of mine started a MSN-DNP program through the University of Michigan-Flint, and she tells me similar things about their program.
