I am looking for a low credit ( I am 58 so time is a factor) low cost (still paying loans for my post masters) on line DNP. I want it to be relevant. I started a program and it moved so fast couldnt keep up (but I was changing jobs and there was a lot of drama in my life too).

It needs to be mostly or all Distance or in the Rochester NY area. Any thoughts?

Why are looking toward a DNP? What are your goals? At 58, not saying we are old, but unless you need the DNP, you many be better off doing a post MSN program so you can start recouping your expenses before Medicare (LOL)!

I'm also 58 and preparing to enroll at the University of Southern Indiana's DNP program. My MSN is in education, and I do research regarding night shift and it's unique challenges for health care workers- which I plan to dovetail into my capstone project. My director just graduated from this program.

It's almost 100% online (a couple of three day on campus requirements). Tuition is under $300/ credit hour.

PS: Average 58 year old today will live WELL into their 80s. My motto is this: Better to burn out than rust out! :)

I'm with you meanmaryjean, although I'm not 58 (yet!), I plan on going to work for several more decades, pretty much until they tell me I'm not wanted there anymore. Of course, I might start my own practice then! lol
