ALBANY - A New York State judge on Friday suspended a health regulation that would compel hundreds of thousands of health care workers and hospital volunteers to be vaccinated for the H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccines.

I am not quite sure if the NY State Health Commissioner anticipated such a strong reaction from the health care workers. But this should set some kind of a warning to any one out there that maybe you should consult people first before you try to pass a law without letting people know first. And maybe have them decide for themselves?

I do wonder if Dr. Richard F. Daines plans to be vaccinated for the H1N1.

Good job, Judge McNamara!

I've read one of the posts about medical staff being concerned over this mandatory vaccination. I don't live in NY so the mandate doesn't affect me but I believe that the decision there could (and definitely might) show the rest of the country how to pursue vaccination for H1N1.

Getting the vax is like getting your teeth cleaned? No doubt, that procedure can be risky for some people, but to compare teeth cleaning to getting the swine flu vax? I wish she had said it was like sticking your hand in the tiger's cage.

At any rate, I'd like to be present at the vax of those saying the vax is necessary and ordering other people to get it. I want to see them get shots from bottles absolutely known to contain the real swine flu vax and seasonal flu vax - bottles from a source they have not been able to control. Let's see how they feel about that.

This is only a temporary restraining order. Let's keep the prayers and legal work going.

If I stuck my hand in the tiger cage I'd be able to see the tiger.
